Busy little nanites swarmed through Natalie's body, repairing the damage that age and neglect had done, sculpting her into her 21 year old self. The nanite mind extended the neural network to interface with her conscious mind.

For Natalie there had been nothing but warm tingling alternating with searing pain, nothing she hadn't anticipated but it had gone on for much longer than she had thought it would.

Unable to see, hear or speak she could only endure, not daring to try to move in case of injuring herself on the lab equipment.

The pain abruptly cut off and she could suddenly see and hear again.

She looked around and then stopped, transfixed by the sight of herself in the one way window in one wall of the lab. She'd blanked the outside view when she sealed the lab so now it was a perfect mirror, showing every detail of her rejuvenated body.

She just stood there, completely enraptured by her own reflection.
