October 2024 - Month of the Lead Sled

Hi folks!

With the latest round of updates and miscellaneous projects out of the way, I can finally get back to our regular programming: the F-4 Phantom. Better late than never, as people say.

I plan to do things a little differently this time around. I learned many lessons from the AH-64D and F-15E guides, which were absolute grinds... and I figured that the workflow has to change if I want to make my life somewhat easier. I intend to first complete the cockpit section in order to get the nomenclature and switchology right (because... words are hard, eh?). Then, we'll go straight to the sensors, then the weapons, then the defensive systems... etc. I typically keep the "difficult" sections last, but I feel many among you want the fun stuff ASAP and you have all been patient enough already.

Needless to say, this is going to be quite a long slog. I am genuinely excited about this project (much more than I ever was on the Strike Eagle), so I am sure I will have a lot of fun. I remain cautiously optimistic, but I am under no illusion that a lot of effort will go into it . I know I am not as fast as I used to be when it comes to creating this kind of content, but I hope I can maintain an adequate quality standard worthy of Heatblur's amazing module.

You have had an epiphany on how the work should go. Look forward to your stuff as always.

Can't wait! I mean, I can, because I don't have a choice :) I know it'll be top notch!

“I am not as fast as I used to be”… That may or may not be, but I don’t care since you keep amazing me with the quality of what you deliver! Thx for your effort Chuck!

It certainly is a fun aircraft to fly. Looking forward to another amazing guide to reference! I know these are no small task to put together.
