September 2024 - Month of Whirlybirds

This month should be exciting for helicopter fans. There are currently three main things on my plate:
Updating the AH-64D Apache guide
Creating a "quick guide" for the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior
Creating a start-up procedure for the CH-47F Chinook
The Apache update has been on the backburner for way too long due to all the hours spent on the Strike Eagle, but now is the time to bring it up to speed with the few systems added by Eagle Dynamics over the last few months. A lot of work went into it during the month of August.
The OH-58D and CH-47D "quick guides" are mainly short side projects I felt like working on just to mix things up a bit for a few weeks. These "quick guides" are not meant to be complete or in-depth, but more of "let's get this bird in the air and play with it a bit". Keep in mind that I don't intend to complete these guides in the near future. Why? Because a complete Kiowa guide would require months of work that I would rather spend on something a bit different... because the Chinook is nowhere near as mature/complete as I want it to be in terms of system depth... and mainly because the next big project I want to be working on is the F-4E Phantom II.
