Let's continue the long slog through sensors, shall we? This week, we talk about the air-to-ground radar modes. Real Beam Map (RBM), High Resolution Map (HRM), Ground Moving Target (GMT) and Precision Velocity Update (PVU) are the main modes that you will be working with.
The air-to-ground modes make the AN/APG-70 radar a very flexible tool to use, however there are many things to consider when it comes to its limitations. The Strike Eagle's simulation depth is a double-edged sword in that regard... meaning that modelling its imperfection can make it a bit more difficult to use properly. Anyhow, I tried to sprinkle useful information here and there to make sure you have at least some understanding of what's what and why it behaves that way.
