Update 0.892

Here’s my first update in a while! I’m posting this later than I planned and I am SORRY, but I felt like packing a bunch of stuff into this one. It’s a bit of a doozy, so I hope that you guys enjoy what’s been added. I have one more update planned for the end of this month to add one more scene, so look forward to that as well. :3

Since there are so many changes, I’ve put a TL;DR summary first and a detailed list afterward.

TL;DR:

• New character with one finished scene: Cheaf. (+1 new cheat code)
• Final Codine scene is done.
• Short stories on the bookshelf now have content tags.
• Fleshed out Yosnackitty Park.
• “Belching” is now a separate toggle from “gross details”. You'll need to update your settings code if you use one, check below for details.
• You can hang out with Nolow.
• Some bug fixes.

Full List:

• There is a new character with a full scene completed: Cheaf! He is a man-eating fly trap located in the newly-unlocked area, the Mystical Glade. This place will be home to many mystical critters in the future, but for now it is just Cheaf. In order to view this area and scene, you must ask Zander about himself and then collect a blue raspberry from a bush in Yosnackitty Park. After you show this berry to him, he’ll tell you a spell to whisper to this bush. You can then press forward to view this scene. I’ve also added a new cheat code that will allow you to avoid this narrative fluff and immediately enter the glade.
• The last scene that I planned for Codine is finally finished! If you go to his place and get drunk (but not high), you can engage in an anal vore scene by partaking of the mousemallows. I’ve been mulling over some additional scenes for this character in the future, but for now, consider him 100% “complete”! (Also let me know if you see anything that still says “WIP” for him, because there shouldn’t be.)
• Added tags to each short story in the bookshelf, as well as an option to not show the story if the tags don’t appeal to you.
• Fleshed out Yosnackitty Park for Cheaf and in preparation for a new scene with Fen. Of course, other things will eventually be added as well.
• The “Belching” toggle for The Altar of the Porcelain Throne has been modified. You can now select your preferences for both normal belching and skull-belching instead of just the latter. (Previously, “Gross Details” determined the frequency of belching.) This means that if you use a code to import your settings from a previous game version, you’ll need to manually set this setting before starting the game or you will encounter bugs.
  • I’ve tried to go through and properly edit all the belches to work with this toggle, but I’m sure I’ve definitely missed some because it took forever. Feel free to let me know if you see any! Also my god, editing Codine was a TRIP because that dude belches like every other sentence. >3> I was so tempted to just put a content warning like, “Err, maybe don’t play his scenes if you don’t like this brand of rudeness.”
  • This should be mostly implemented for all characters, though I still need to go through and finish censoring Xil and Codine.
• You can now hang out with Nolow if you beat his game. However, there’s nothing this actually leads to yet; this is what I plan to work on for the next update!
• Fixed up a number of bugs with the small scene that occurs when you leave Zander and Phirae in the same place (by using “hang out” and then “separate”). I also took the time to spiff the dialogue up a bit, since it was one of the first scenes I did.
• Fixed a bug with Phirae where he would still let you out after you annoyed him to the point of telling you to hush and digest. (Thanks to the person who told me about this issue!)
