Now, let's move into one of the coolest features of the new A-10: the "Scorpion" Helmet-Mounted Cueing System (HMCS). It's a situational awareness monster, and I tried to make the section both exhaustive yet accessible. Not an easy task.

If you read this draft before the new DCS octovember (tm) patch, you will likely notice that the way to set the HMCS as the sensor of interest (SOI) may differs from how it is at this moment. Eagle Dynamics announced that they would perform a few changes to HOTAS functions, including how to set the HMCS SOI (the old function is done by toggling the Coolie Hat UP, while the new function is done by pressing Coolie Hat DOWN). I decided to use the "upcoming" logic since odds are that the guide update itself will likely not come out before the next DCS patch.
