June/July 2024 Sketches 7 - Kaidou Shun (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K)(Animation)

Here's an animation featuring Kaidou Shuin from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. The idea was suggested by Melo. Took some liberties with the idea. In this setting, they're already in college, and are young adults.

"Shun Kaidou from The Disastrous Life of Saiki K: Kaidou is a bit of a pushover, so when he starts rambling about all the power he needs to seal away with his hand wraps, he gets called out on it and has to face off with Hairo in an arm wrestling match (or Nendou, but I imagine they thought Nendou would break his arm). Either way, Saiki feels bad for Kaidou knowing he's doomed, so he decides to release the strength limiter from Kaidou's brain and give him a little boost; unfortunately, it just so happens that Koboyasu pulled out one the actual strength limiter antennas that Saiki wears on his head, causing him to WAY overdo it!

What ensues is Kaidou exploding with strength as soon as the wrestling match begin and throwing his opponent to the floor. He's shocked by his own strength at first, but it very quickly goes to his head, and when he notices that just be flexing he can keep himself growing even bigger, he starts making all kinds of poses and showing off. Now the only problem is that he needs more energy to keep bulking, so he goes to where everyone's lunches were stored and downs everything! It goes straight to his gut at first, but quickly starts converting itself to mass, and the process continues. Worse yet, when Saiki tries to restore Kaidou's brain to normal, it seems Kaidou's will to grow has gotten too strong to control! Now it seems there's nothing that can stop Kaidou's ascension to godhood!"

So, instead of him growing further by eating after winning the arm wrestling match, I decided to make it so that Saiki's help ended going through "Overdrive", and makes Kaidou grow bigger the more excited he is about his new strength.

So he ends up outgrowing the whole College from just one win! Another win may bring some DISASTROUS results;;

And also made the opponent a rando instead of Hairo.
