I just wanna say the we are all America on the football part was about thee* America’s* it’s not that they’re like “we want to be USA citizens too! we are all USA!” It’s referring to the concept of the America’s as a whole. South America North America Latin America including Canada Mexico and all of the U.S. Virgin Islands and territories and Caribbean. Only USA Americans would interpret that he was referring to the STATES, but it was in reference to the fact that all of those flags *are* American flags considering how many countries the americas (north, south, and Latin contain). I don’t think he meant that the ultimate goal is to be represented by or citizens of the states. Ever since I moved to Europe in 2022, in the beginning people would ask me where I’m from and I’d say America and they would retaliateeeee down!! “AMERICA IS A CONTINENT YOU CANT JUST SAY AMERICA USA ISN’T THE ONLY AMERICA! BE SPECIFIC” like ok girl.. so I think that applies here too. Especially for example “MAGA”.. how can you make *America* “great again” if America is all of these places and includes all of these people, specifically the ones you’re trying to push out. Which America?? You know what I meannnn. Just my take away there

In the US, the american continent is taught in schools as two separate continents (north america, south america) but in the latam countries, it is just one continent. What bad bunny did was bring this mode of thinking to a united states audience, not to say that we are “all americans” as in the US thinking of america, but that the US is america, because it is part of the american continent. It flips the idea FOR the US to stop appropriating America as a standalone identity of the US, and to see it as America “the continent”. Anyways, hope that helps.

I'm not sure if it's because you're not a part of either of the communities these things mostly impact, but it feels like you're not really doing research or looking outside of yourself/your algorithm to get a more well-rounded understanding of the topic. With SO much love, I think that is something worth considering. I'm Haitian American, I have been living in so much fear of ICE for my family, friends, and others. That performance was one of the brighter things I've seen in a long time. Seeing my flag and hearing my country be acknowledged felt amazing. Its not revolutionary , but it really doesn't need to be. I think it's OK for something to just be a starting point. This all or nothing mentality that many leftists have isn't working. I'll take this small win for now, and I'll keep doing more work later. Just my two cents as a long-time subscriber
