I'm a 28 y/o LMSW (licensed master social worker) making 85k working from home in health insurance, and I'm on my way to 6 figs after I pass my LCSW exam. entry level bachelors degree positions will get you that 40-50k range that Kenya was referring to. just wanted to share that in case anyone is actually thinking about getting their masters in SW, there is good money to be made in the field. alsoooo - work in health insurance!! get your experience in direct practice then BOUNCE lol that's what I did

I really wish black men would get into education. So many black men find success in classrooms and thrive. It’s also a great way to raise the bar for black boys in classrooms.

After I graduated from college in 2017, I was pretty “shiftless” for awhile. Yeah I was working a lowly retail job I hated, living at home with my mom, but I was so unhappy. ☹️ Once COVID hit, and I quit my retail job and lost another job after that, I couldn’t take it anymore; I went back to school to get my Masters! Thank GOD for scholarships and loans and grants and stuff. They helped me finance my masters degree and now I’m graduating in May with my MI (Master of Information) degree to become a librarian! 🤓📚📖
Guys, girls, non-binary people, PLEASE go (back) to school! 🏫
