Taylor swift’s sales don’t really do anything for me because I know how many of them are fraudulent. Beehive constantly gets into fight about how they can’t organize streaming or buying parties which means all of bets sales are coming from people who genuinely just love her work. Meanwhile someone else is running a parasocial empire and modding the charts to appear more successful than she actually is. She’s like one of those directors (who love to call themselves Arteurs) creating mysticism about themselves.

Having a tour as big as the Renaissance tour, a NEW ALBUM, is way more of an accomplishment TO ME, than a huge tour that's essentially a victory lap. ALSOOO, I don't even want to get into the streaming/7-versions-of-an-album of it all. We are talking about a woman who has been selling millions of records LONG before the streaming era, and back when you'd only get ONE album (MAYBE a deluxe with 2 bonus tracks). Like, I'm a late hive member (self titled is what did me in), but even my ass knew eeeverryy soonngg dating back to Bugaboo days. Not only every song, but every ICONIC PERFORMANCE, which also pushed the songs! I'm sorry but Swifties have "numbers" and it seems like that's it. More and more it's giving...they know their girl can't compete in actual stage talent so they harp on the numbers so bad—that might just be me being a lil mean though.
