2025-04-01 15:39:25 +0000 UTCWe don't live in a just society and I think the technology to be able to read minds would most certainly be abused. But even if this were possible, thoughts and memories are malleable. Memories can change, especially with time and can be manipulated, and everyone's thoughts are affected by their own personal biases and experiences. I think it would be a bigger invasion of privacy than it would be useful in most cases because our thoughts are not very trustworthy sources of information anyway. Also thanks Martin for reminding me that trees have more of a social life than I do π₯²
