We'll learn a little more about Azula's power - but something I don't think they explain is why the fire she creates is blue. I think the in-universe reason is her fire is perfect, so it burns pure with no waste (and blue flames burn hotter). From a character standpoint, it shows she's callous, precise and uniquely gifted. This episode is so great for setting so much in motion, and we also learn that although the Earth Kingdom are technically allies against the Fire Nation, our allies don't always have our best interests at heart. And of course it is cool seeing there's more to the avatar state, and more to bending than we've seen so far!
