2024-08-21 16:18:49 +0000 UTCI do enjoy this film quite a bit. In fact, I'd put it very close to (possibly on par with) the original Iron Man. That said, Iron Man is my third favorite phase 1 film behind Captain America and Thor. One of the issues a lot of reactors seem to experience is that this version of the movie tells the origin in the manner it does. Unfortunately, Marvel thought this was necessary because of the previous Hulk movie that gave a version of the origin just a few years earlier. I'm really glad to see that Laura picked up all she needed from the provided intro and just rolled into the story as it unfolded. Not everyone digs on the way they handled it.

I know the actor for Rhodey was the one with being hard to work with and such so they recast him. Yeah Edward Norton did nothing wrong for wanting to portray Hulk as best he could.

I know I’m probably alone, but I prefer the Hulk (2003) with Eric Banner, as it delved more into the psychological war and anguish at his transformations alongside the “Hulk smash” aspect.

Even Louis Leterrier the director even said that Edward was right watch the podcast of him talking about Edward, he even stated he loved working with him, including the rest of the cast. Edward even stated that marvel was willing to do 3 character story arc for hulk, then changed their mind at the last minute, and actually I read an article saying that Zack Penn the original screenwriter, the original script was so bad, Marvel had hired Edward to do it, then Zack Penn got mad at edward, then they didn’t even credit Norton, Marvel is the shady one for that.

It's not a bad recast, I think Mark Ruffalo does a good job a Hulk, not the worst choice but yeah it would of been great if Edward Norton was still Hulk, but at the end of the day, it was his choice not to continue playing hulk. I'm personally excited for Laura to get to Thor and Captian America. We can then see who ends up being her new crushes 😆

2024-08-20 16:36:18 +0000 UTCTrue, but Edward Norton did it to himself, he made it extremely difficult to work with, had attatude issues and wanted way more money than marvel was willing to give at the time. So they recast him. Same sort of reasons why they also recast Rhodey for Iron man.
