A Busy August! Make or Break Time!
Added 2018-08-07 02:46:29 +0000 UTC1) I'm hoping to crank out another flash fiction story similar to that of Dr. Hover's this week. If I finish one, it will be available for all Booksmart+ Patrons!
2) I'm still working on a CCH3 demo, with the intention of providing it this fall, but full disclosure, there's no way it will happen in August.
3) I'm also working on StarStreakers! for FableLabs! My treatment (story summary/outline) has been approved, so now I'm waist deep learning some new programs to code it. It will have more bells and whistles than does CCH, and I'm very excited about it!
Yes, this will be a busy fall!
I feel like I'm in the "Make or Break" phase of my writing efforts. Yes, I've sold some stories and readers have been so supportive (thank you so much!), but at the same time, my writing income is nowhere near what it would need to be to provide a full-time income for me and my family. So I continue to grind away working as an attorney by day, and somewhat nerdy writer/father/husband by night (and weekends).
I'm looking to diversify my writing efforts over the next couple of years, focusing on CCH3, Starstreakers!, and then some smaller projects like the CCH short story collection, and (eventually!) getting Talon City finished as my first traditional novel. That's my plan for now, but of course plans change sometimes. Only time will tell.
