I remember you talking about it in the Scratch and Sniff showcase (thanks for that by the way, found a new great genre to listen to when I want to chill!) and hearing that, all of the sudden, your sense of smell and taste have returned to normal in almost 10 years made me smile. I am not really a person for parasocial relationships, and lets be honest, I am just one of the billions of people on the internet. But for some reason, your videos have been comforting me for years now. It's been awesome seeing your journey from "channel just showing off nixie watches" to "genuinely respected big channel other people just kinda know". In fact, I must admit, you really have infected me with the whole audio format stuff... Got my first minidisc portable and home player... Been minting my own discs to take with me like a "reverse hipster" for some time now, too. So I suppose I have to thank you for that as well! I was so worried about your health quite a lot and I genuinely had the feeling that if something went wrong, I could've lost one of my favourite YouTubers. Glad to hear you are doing better and are "back to your old self". Nice sweater, by the way. Love the new look! Keep it up! - Matti

2025-04-25 14:02:41 +0000 UTCFortunately this time I definitely went in without Covid but with a blood infection that had been going on for weeks, ever since the flu subsided in March. I wouldn’t recommend any of it as a diet, but looking on the positive side, the weight has stayed off so far. Then again that could always be a sign of something else.

My father ended up in the hospital with sepsis last year after having a routine surgery and a totally separate emergency surgery. It was quite a scary time but he seems to have almost fully recovered. His stamina was one of the things he had the hardest time with. You scared me with the Steve Jobs outfit lol. Welcome back home!
