That sounds like a sensible idea. I was initially thinking about running a thin strip of duct tape up the back of the poles…I thought if it’s long enough it’d be enough to keep the fronts perfectly level. I haven’t noticed any side to side wobble though (from memory).

2025-04-11 18:38:32 +0000 UTCWhilst I share very much the sentiment from the rest of the commenters, and sincerely wish you all the best with your medical issues, in a hope to at least temporarily distract from that kind of thing;I've got some very similar Ikea shelves like those, and I've never had an issue with them falling down, despite also not fixing them to the wall. I've found that so long as the bottom shelf has something reasonably heavy, you're golden - The bigger issue for me, which I noticed in the video, was the kind of 'side-to-side wobble' with them. I just grabbed a couple clamps to fix them together then took a metal drill and went right through the touching outer side poles and stuck them together with a couple M6 bolts (just one on the front and back) and it's been far more stable since then. Only takes a couple minutes and just makes the whole thing seem far more secure
