VIDEO Oddcast August 2024

Not too much has happened this month - so here’s an hour-long video all about it.

https://youtu.be/AX6MjjgMATo

There’s also an audio-only version of this available under a separate post.

Links to things mentioned...

Kanto Syd at Crutchfield.

YT Pop Video I inadvertently contributed to.

EDIT - shaved a few seconds of my alternative pronunciations of the company name Nikon from the section where I was talking about how it’s odd to expect pronunciations to be uniform globally. Perhaps rather ironically my message of harmony somehow didn’t translate with these in place.

Hi Grace, have you seen it yet? I'm always late to the party! I think it's an Occupational Hazard of being a Touring Musician! The first 45 minutes were good but then the Warm, Dark, Comfy seat and Jetlag kicked in so missed the rest. The Second attempt of watching the film was slightly better... Fell asleep for the first hour. However my friends who have managed to keep their eyes open for the duration give it a good 7/10. 👍

Bill Gunn

About the house been hotter inside in hot weather - that's due to a lack of insulation which is typical of British houses. If the house is well insulated then on hot days the insulation will keep the heat out. I live in Finland and when it's +30 outside I often close all the windows to keep the hot air out, because it's about +25 inside (without aircon). This is a side effect of houses insulated well enough to handle -35 in the winter.

Richard Bevan

I just started watching an American video about cars and the guy kept going on about Kneesan.

I'll have a look - I'm old school though, if there's a physical button I'd go for that every time. On this one, I could have just tapped on the mute button on YouTube...but didn't...because old habits die hard.

Techmoan

Noticed you had to use the controllers on the back of your LG monitor to mute your sound during the video I also noticed you use a Mac, not sure which model. But I can recommend an app called MonitorControl, downloadable from GitHub or via the App Store. As the name suggests, it lets you control your external monitor's volume and brightness from the keyboard control keys. Some of the more recent Mac models have known compatibility issues depending on what type of cable you're using, but worth giving it a go. I use it on my Mac mini and LG monitor.

David C.

Makes sense. I did finish the video by now. I was afraid it broke! I also...don't know why I felt the need to comment after 12 seconds. I'm glad to see you still have it. I didn't get the impression that you oversold it. The impression I got was that it was a convenient fan that actually had a cooling effect on your neck, and it's useful in situations where you can't hold a fan and you're moving around or outside. I don't know if it will solve my reticence to go outside and do yardwork when it is hot, but it's worth a shot. Maybe the overenthusiasm from guys like me regarding the product is simply wishful thinking, but I don't think that's from you. It's still on my birthday list for next year if it's holding up. Of course after September you probably won't get much use out of it but what're you gonna do. For future interesting things in cases, you might be right that rebranding the series might be useful, but for the subset of us who quite like that idea, or indeed the intro, you could create a playlist of interesting things in cases (even though the video title will just be "West Germany's weird fad: 1970s portable toasters"), or put it in the description so 7 years from now we can see the whole progression of things in cases. Or not it's probably pointless. Extra pointless comment regarding cameras and Internet arrogance: people complain constantly about who is better or what features you need but when you know what you need then you can get what you want, save money, and have a better experience than the guy who blindly says "just give me the best camera." I'm still all in on micro four thirds and Olympus (sorry, OM Systems) because I know exactly what I want and what I need, and people shit on my choice all the time. Sorry I care about portability and weight! It plays into the same arrogance that everyone is complaining about. People think they know better than you about what you want. But, I don't think they really are like that. I think in real life almost everyone who arrogantly says you pronounce Nikon wrong or who says you want a semi pro Sony video camera will come off much nicer. "Have you heard about the FX30?" "Oh yes I heard about it but it's too big and heavy for my needs and I just really need something that can shoot in log at 4k 60fps." "Oh okay great choice then!" "Why a monocular?" "Can't see out of my eye." "Oh no what's wrong?" "Loads of shit I don't want to talk about it." "Oh okay I'm sorry" People tend to keep the arrogance to themselves in real life. I do like some circles of the internet that remembers their interlocutors are intelligent people. I think people are nice and considerate when they think about it, and much more pleasant. When I read the dumb comments online like that I try to hear them as what they would be in real life, essentially just conversation. While a large number of comments, including this one, are about the general complaining about asshole commenters and language prescriptivists, playing into your idea that negatively creates engagement, it is, like you said, still pretty negative. I think you're right to try to keep the channel light. You have shown a remarkable ability to maintain creative integrity through the increasing popularity of your channel to keep it basically what you want it to be. I hope you are proud of that, beyond even the success of the channel itself.

Funkmon

I was concerned about the noise on the mic.

Techmoan

I've watched 12 seconds of the video so far: why didn't you just use the neck air conditioner?

Funkmon

Well you'll be glad to know that American English has changed less than British English since the 18th century. There is no correct English. Source: former linguist

True, I got to say thought when you reviewed the arcade joypad thing I bought my first home. I didn't have much money but I got so excited by your review I bought it as a house warming gift to go along with all my friends hand me down TVs and furniture. Was probably the most expensive thing I owned. Lol... Memories

Erik

I feel it's a bit out of my wheelhouse now - there are so many gaming channels that feature this kind of thing, I think I'm better off leaving it to them.

Techmoan

Matt have you thought about reviewing more of those Amazon game systems that play arcade and retro roms?

Erik

I am American (I live in Missouri) but do all my CAD in metric. Waayyyyy less work.

Dan Weiss

Oh, and I in St. Louis MO, they freely, and randomly, use French and American pronunciations for towns and streets. "Gravois" is a street that they pronounce as "Gra - voys". Another street is Spoede and no one can agree on how to pronounce that. In contrast, I grew up in the Philadelphia area where we had many Delaware Indian names for things (schools, parks, expressways, you name it) include a main thoroughfare called "schuylkill expressway". Pronounced "skoo -kl". At least that was what I was taught. Others called it the "Sure Kill" because of the traffic.

Dan Weiss

Oh yeah, and Americans (of which I am one) have a warped sense of correctness and it is not limited to pronunciations. Having studied a bit of Japanese in University I know that "i" is pronounced as a long "E", so "nee - kon" would be more logical. But just like in every other place in the world there are regional dialects.

Dan Weiss

Okay, I swear this true, but since this is the internet you are free not to believe me. My ex-wife has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) a NOT FUN disease. Anyway, she had multiple neurologists while we were married including a Dr. Head. Good name for a neurologist. The kicker is that his first name is Richard. How ANY parent could do that is beyond me.

Dan Weiss

The craziest thing about the failure to integrate the metric system is that it was all old people pushing back against it, and somehow we let that be the deciding factor. Now, all the people working the same jobs were taught the metric system... But if we went to convert they'd all rebel. It's an endless cycle of out of date people. We honestly should just go the Swedish way and change everything over during the night.

Timothy Roller

The xenomorphs aren't scary to me. I watched the first films when I was younger than I should have been, and they intrigue me more than frighten me. Just like the robot Ash said, "The perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility." Love that line. H.R. Giger's design influences appeal to me for whatever reason.

Grace Robbins

I'm happy to go along with that.

Techmoan

Maybe something went south with the renewal of the subscription?

Raul Ramos

So, without actually rewatching Say Anything… I believe that his girlfriend’s dad ran a retirement home, and that their house may have been on the grounds? That might explain the picnic tables and things in the shot?

Brad Hood

I appreciate what you're saying. However, I can assure you that in this case the Spares2Go filter has the same filtration as the Dyson filter. You can see the two different types of filter material on each side. It is literally identical so you're not missing out on anything. Dyson are saving on production costs by combining 4 pieces into 2 pieces, but instead of passing this on to the customer they have increased the price to an exorbitant £80.

Gadgetman

I used the unused filter from my second fan. I did recently buy a third party filter for the other bedroom Dyson air filter only to realise that while it was cheaper it skipped on the filter that removed NOX etc…so cheapest isn’t necessarily best.

Techmoan

I’ve never had a paid account - I’m not sure how long I’ve had an unpaid one…possibly getting on for ten years now, perhaps that’s too long, but it’s something I can’t remember, so it’s been a while.

Techmoan

I', sure that the litres MPG thing was done so that people don't realise how expensive it is to drive 100 miles. As for other units of measurement I just checked on the Aldi USA website and things like Mayonnaise and even bottles of coke are being sold in Fluid Ounces. I couldn't relate that to either pints or litres.

Duncan

Bit of a word of caution regarding MyUS. Used MyUS last year for a one-off order, and signed up with the 30 day free premium trial. Cancelled premium within the 30 days, which was happily accepted by the system. Few months go by and I get an email from MyUS about a payment failure—they had quietly re-enabled premium on my account and tried to charge my PayPal (if signing up with PayPal, they make you link it in a way that they can charge at will, but thankfully I disabled their ability to auto-charge in PayPal settings after I previously cancelled).

1690

Seymour Busch - an innocent suggestion.

Grace Robbins

Don't be ripped off by Dyson for your replacement filter. They have changed the 2 layer filter to a single layer filter and increased the price to £80. Get this one instead which is half the price and does the same thing. https://amzn.eu/d/crpPdrI Only buy it from seller Spares2Go because they are a trusted spare parts supplier and I can't vouch for other sellers.

Gadgetman

“Ideal” is a strong word. It probably matters what you grew up with. I bet someone out there prefers decimal inches.

John Johnson

Link opens on the mobile... but last post is the 31st May, On the desktop, I just get the usual "When you have new chats from creators, you'll see them here. Learn more".

Brad Jones

The whole Nikon pronunciation thing reminds me of the whole Bowie thing.....when I was young Bowie was pronounced like the weapon...then in the mid 2000s it became like the ship. Weird! Interesting Things In Cases (ITIC) series was interesting, I hope we do see more.

LANDLINEMAN.com

I worked with a US company which insisted on doing their thing in inches and elbows and all. They also used CATIA and they were absolutely confident. The first prototype was 80% of the size it ought to be

Raul Ramos

Fractional inches are in base 2: 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc. It's an ideal system for working with a tape measure and a pencil, or for finding the right wrench, but if you're drawing blueprints it's maybe not the best.

moosemaimer

Can you see the community chat through this direct link? https://www.patreon.com/chats/e710e9914f3b40d58979bbdda577b35d

Grace Robbins

Really confused now. I thought the Community section doesn't work anymore? Just checked, and I still get "No chats yet". How's everybody using it? It was the same on the mobile app and desktop version last time I looked at the latter. As for punning names, those remind me of the "Arrivals at the [topic] ball" from I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue. Like "Arrivals at the Musician's Ball"... "Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome Mr and Mrs G String, and their son, Aaron A G String..." Also, 1980s comedy show Radio Active, with Anna Daptor, Mike Stand, Mike Cable etc!

Brad Jones

I'd like to try the Alien franchise, but even Red Dwarf's Polymorph freaks me out, so I dunno!

Brad Jones

Forget the doctors. If you need top medical experts, go straight to the Youtube comments section…

Tunix

I laughed at your imperial measurement comments. You should see how complicated it makes things for CAD software. Exports of imperial measurements are often in decimal inches (1.25), annotation fractional (1 1/4) and mm (31.75)! So glad NZ went fully metric (just) before I got to school. Do remember govt issued speedometer stickers for people to convert old cars and our local park has a bizarre 16km/h speed limit. Apparently they forgot to process the 'road' change so just put up the pre-metric 10mph conversion. Only place I have seen it in NZ

Robin Capper

You’ve sold me on it with the CRTs and toggle switches. That demonstrate an attention to detail. I’m not going to leave the house to go to a cinema again - but I will be watching it as soon as I can in 4K at home.

Techmoan

There's plenty of slime, acid, and blood for everyone 🎉

Grace Robbins

But Grace, what I *really* need to know is, how much slime did you see in the film?😬 Anyway, good for you for going to a theater again--don't know if I'll ever go to one again.

Mark Hesse

Pronunciation arrogance is one of our lesser sins.

Joseph Dougherty

If you watch Coldwarmotors on YouTube they seems to mix n match measurements 😂 think it’s a Canadian thing.

Mark callaghan

7.5 on IMDb if any help ? Haven’t seen yet myself

Mark callaghan

Non-spoiler reactions: * occurs 20 years after the events in Alien, as a stand-alone story and a (kind of) faux sequel. * Weyland-Yutani 'Building Better Worlds' is significantly more 'ass-holey' than usual. * I got a DataPlay vibe from a main plot device. * I like how they kept the look and feel of the spaceships (CRTs, toggle switches, buttons, etc) to the time frame and the computer sounds. Overall it was good - there were a few hokey moments of glaring Alien/Aliens references that threw me out of the plot. Otherwise, I forgot how much I love the sound in IMAX, it really envelops you in the action.

Grace Robbins

The new puppet may be a flasher, Mat, but you're the one who puts a hand up his bottom.

Andrew Torrance

I like the “things in cases” format and so do 99,999 other people!

Gadgetman

That would certainly be unique, a food reviewer with no sense of taste. "The right people would get it"

David E. Blankenship

Just paid a sub to this patreon* to stand up for Alien3. (*this is a lie)

Lord Brannigan-7

A tour of your hi-fi set up as it currently stands would be an interesting extra I would watch. Enjoyable update - thanks!

David Roberts

I'm about to find out myself in about 20 minutes. I'm sitting in theater watching advertisement fluff right now. 😄 First time in a theater in 7 years, at least.

Grace Robbins

Here's a review I read just today from a local blogger (meaning there's also feedback from the commentariat) who's a big SF fan (not of the Marvel variety though). https://freethoughtblogs.com/pharyngula/2024/08/17/did-they-really-need-to-remake-alien/

Mark Hesse

I've thought there might be a market for videos showing off new stuff at the supermarket. There's always a new product that comes into all the shops, and showing them off might do well. You may want to repackage your previous food reviews and put them on a second channel to see how they do. Little effort, and people might like it.

Big Car

We have a saying here in Preston - "Scousers begin at Ormskirk".

Matthew Lawrenson

Olivor sudon is an amazing name. LOL

ChrisFratz

I'm surprised you only have one drill. Somehow my wife and I have ended up with five or six, plus two cordless screwdrivers

David E. Blankenship

Wow, 68 degrees F would be nice. At the best of times the air-con in my house gets my room down to about 82 in the middle of summer. Still, better than 92 or 100 outside, sure.

Don Eitner

The only 'good' ones were Alien and Aliens. The third installment angered me within the first 15 minutes. Alien: Resurrection was so weird it was fairly unwatchable. I'd like to believe another Alien movie has something good to deliver but I'm dubious.

Grace Robbins

I’ve heard it’s supposed to be good. I know that within an hour of driving distance for me in either direction to the nearest IMAX cinemas, one screen is probably a quarter the size of the other one. So before you go make sure you’re getting the best bang for your buck.

Techmoan

I loved the first but the aliens predator stuff is not for me. I haven't actually seen the second one complete...

Raul Ramos

I remember talking to a German girl a long way back, talking about music. I asked do you like punk then? She didn't get it. Punk. What's sdat? It became silly. But she didn't like Punk. I've been there too. As after a long convoluted speech I was forced to say: sorry mate, don't speak any french. But I am talking in English! I guess if you brain gets thrown out of track, your brain goes into protect. It happens often with my kids. Since we speak multiple languages I sometimes don't know which one are they using and it becomes silly

Raul Ramos

Off-topic question about films - has anyone here yet seen 'Alien: Romulus'? It's the first film in many years that has piqued my interest and wanted an opinion before I travel to an IMAX .

Grace Robbins

I was going on my head about what the messages might be and the drill one was sort of a given. But when Greg popped up I lost it because it sort of broke through reality. That thing of weird associations might be due to unusually high connections on your brain. I know nothing about brains really but I am interested because I think my brain is funky at times and would like to know. Maybe I'll go gaga soon. Might be the best outcome really

Raul Ramos

There's been so much shared culture between the UK & US (books, theater(re), movies, TV and music) that I think it's unlikely that the two countries will drift apart linguistically for quite a long time. The YouTube channel, "Lost In The Pond" featuring an English guy who married an American and is now a US citizen in Chicago recently had a video that showed there increasing use of USanian words, terms and phrases in the UK and that the use of words, terms and phrases common in the UK are increasingly used in the US nowadays.

Mark Hesse

I studied Japanese for a while, in Japanese pronunciation Nikon would likely be Nee-kon, definitively not Ny-kon! Being schooled in the mid/late 80s onwards, I was only taught metric measurements, yet not a soul used metric in real life (other than temperature for some reason), so I measure things in metric but cannot visualise as easily and have to do conversions in my head. Bit cheeky using your video clips without even asking, don't suppose it's done any harm, but common courtesy would be to ask first! Anyway, thanks for the videos, I enjoy most of them (I'm not mad!) and always enjoy the oddcast updates.

Dungeoneer

Oh thanks - I knew it was going to be something very obvious and inevitably require a severe brain thumping.

Grace Robbins

It’s very close to ‘trees are green’ if said quickly.

Techmoan

Do you pronounce Teresa as Tuh-ray-suh? U.S. tend to pronounce the name Teh-ree-suh. As for word play this name has flown over my head at the moment.

Grace Robbins

I feel I should name the ‘Flasher’ Muppet ‘Greg Mayonnaise’ as it’s a shame to waste a good name. It’s unlikely we’ll see him again, but he deserves a name.

Techmoan

I will always watch one of your videos, even if it is about something in which I have no interest, because at the very least you will make me chuckle.

David Peaker

I know 2x45 makes a C90.

Techmoan

Yes there's also the metre/meter divide between the US & UK (Canada usually goes for metre I think, but if you need to buy tyres for your car, you can get them at a Tire Centre. There are several YouTube channels that compare the language differences between US & UK--kind of a fun way to kill some time😊

Mark Hesse

I suspect many people in the UK pronounce the place name of Bicester incorrectly - and understandably so. If you don’t already know, look it up and see if you got it right. In Wigan there is a Mesnes Park - I deliberately annoy the Mrs by pronouncing it as it’s written. The correct pronunciation is the same as ‘Mains’ (?!)

Techmoan

My fellow Americans usually pronounce the city of Worcester, Massachusetts as "Wooster" (Woostah if you're a local), but if we try to say something like worcestershire (sauce) you may wind up with "Wash your sister" or in the case of my fellow US midwesterners would more likely say, "war-sester-shyer".😁

Mark Hesse

The most confusing area for me is that I’m still interested in how many ‘miles per gallon’ a car does, but I’m buying petrol in litres. Then of course there’s US Gallons and UK Gallons - so watching the same model of car reviewed on a US vs UK video could confuse. We’re also still using miles on all the speed signs, but more and more stats are shifting over to kilometres especially when it’s anything to do with electric cars.

Techmoan

The UK basketball team has its first recruit.

Timothy Roller

Nikon in Japan would be pronounced like "lick on". But I 100% agree with you. Local pronunciation is what matters.

Timothy Roller

Well 6 ft. does equal 2 yards, which I guess has been a rule of thumb when converting from yards to meters, but not very accurate, sort of like equating quarts to liters. Also find I'm using liters and milliliters more these days to more easily measure liquids.

Mark Hesse

For some reason I felt that 6ft might have been 2 meters, but wasn’t confident enough to mention it. I’m glad I didn’t as that would make me almost 6ft 7.

Techmoan

Teresa Green

David Peaker

So you're six feet tall Mat? Why you're almost as tall as Thomas from Autogefuehl who reminds the audience that he's 6 feet 1 inches tall or 1 meter, 86 when he checks out the headroom in cars he reviews. As for the metric system (SI): When doing minor home improvement work in recent years I find using a metric tape measure is much easier than trying to keep all those fractional measurements straight. There was something of a campaign to widely adopt metric measurements here in the US back in the mid 1970s and I was all for it back then when in my early teen years, but alas the country as a whole didn't want it. I imagine if we had adopted it then Americans nowadays would be using a mix of metric and traditional measurements just as you say that you do.

Mark Hesse

I'm a 'yank' also and I completely agree. English terms (i.e. rubbish vs. garbage, and the list goes on and on) make more literal sense in my opinion. We're a ridiculously insular culture in many ways; it's depressing.

Grace Robbins

Cx2+30 or`F-30/2 Close enough. :)

Patrick Walsh

I’m easy about it. I’m just confused when anyone thinks there is only one way to pronounce things. I suppose some people don’t get much exposure to accents. Here in the UK accents are everywhere, Glaswegian and Geordie sounds nothing alike but Newcastle and Glasgow are just 150 miles apart. Liverpool and Manchester are 35 miles apart but the accents of any of the Beatles aren’t like those from the Oasis Gallagher brothers. It’s 3300 miles from Liverpool to New York and yet for some reason it’s a surprise to some people that the pronunciation of some words varies between the two. I’m more surprised they aren’t all completely different.

Techmoan

Key to understanding US pronunciation of English words is that they tend (not always!) to emphasise the first syllable of a word, whereas in English the stress often come later in syllable two or three. So, that's why they struggle with Leicester Square, and say "Lie-cester Square". The first syllable is emphasised. However, a lot of this has already entered British English. For example, in Britain we formerly pronounced the word "review" as "reh-view". The second syllable is emphasised. But nowadays US English influences mean we pronounce it "ree-view", with the first syllable emphasised. You'll still hear some older (or posher) people use the older pronunciation. So, Nikon becomes "Nye-kon", whereas in the UK we say "Ni-kon" – moving to the second syllabie. Same with Iraq in the various wars recently. In the US they tend to say "Eye-wrack" (first syllable emphasis), whereas in the UK we say something like "ih-wrack".

Keir Thomas-Bryant

American english is a spite language. Most Americans fail to recognize the irony of correcting those who speak ENGLISH. And yeah, I'm a yank.

Patrick Walsh

I’ve got a list of funny inappropriate names - but I’d better keep them to myself.

Techmoan

No basement here unfortunately. More common in much older houses and only in certain parts of the country where digging down was feasible. It’s all bedrock here. The house I grew up in had a cellar - it was a couple of hundred years old. It was so damp the only thing we ever used it for was growing bags of mushrooms. It was good at that.

Techmoan

I always enjoy these 'behind-the-scenes' videos. It's good to see you taking care of yourself, especially when it comes to Bees Knees' splash back, (made me laugh). As an ignorant yank, (don't get me started on how you mis-pronounce aluminum), I have a question: Does your house have a basement? I remember when I was a kid and suffered the hot summers without air con, we would go down to the basement to cool off. But I don't know if the homes in your area have basements, or if they could be used to escape the heat. Of course that was some 60 years ago, and I also seem to remember the basements had a dampness to them, which negated the cooling effect. Thanks for giving me a nice way to enjoy my Saturday mornings, Matt.

CrimsonPig808

The 3D ones were resin domed vinyl letters. Then people started laser cutting acrylic letters. Since 3D was already being used, they called them 4D since +1 D makes it better, right? I then made a joke 5D number plate. https://youtu.be/3Aigv4tN2wA Not made public yet and NOT SAFE FOR WORK. Edit: I also used to work with Theresa Green.

evilution

I believe for something to auto-match for copyright reasons it has to be in the database uploaded by a rights holder - they can put audio and video into this. For these kind of things there is another content match that tells the youtube user who has been borrowed from - I’d have to go into a special page on youtube that lists all the other videos that match content from mine. It’s a big hassle, time consuming and largely pointless unless someone is just re-uploading all my videos as theirs. I haven’t looked at this for quite some time.

Techmoan

Are 4D the 3D ones? If I see someone with one of those you I know to give them a wide berth because their driving abilities are very likely to be less than optimal. I don’t know why - but there’s definitely some connection between unnecessary cheap car mods and a lack of awareness.

Techmoan

I used to work with a guy called Paul Curtain and his sister was Annette. He said his parents did it on purpose. His dad was called Roman which was more of a blind than a curtain but he wanted to carry on the curtain legacy. I bought the Osmo Pocket 3 on your recommendation with a bunch of extras. For the price, I couldn't believe it didn't come with an SD card. I haven't tried using it yet. I was affected by option paralysis so chickened out and went back to the iPhone. Although the video didn't really need face tracking and all that nonsense. It was just a joke video taking the piss out of BMW drivers who have 4D number plates. As for Americans, I've had the same. You spelt that wrong, you said that wrong, Your steering wheel's on the wrong side, what's that is a real measurement, I didn't realise you had bread in the UK. etc. Difference is, I mock them mercilessly.

evilution

I think it's quite a "tradition" on YouTube of people "stealing" / using other's content and repackaging it, I guess to make money - seems odd to me - but there you go! At least you don't worry about it too much. I'm surprised people don't get content matched (or is that only for music?).

Amro

I'm probably not the first person to say this - you'd do very well as a producer of a comedic show... with your voice impression skills and your views on humanity in general. The food bit with the egg in beans was making me nauseous before you microwaved it. Jerk chicken, however, sounds delicious right now. I thought of the raincoat puppet as a flasher/streaker character as well. Did you know there are companies that make made-to-order extravagantly expensive puppets? I looked into it as I was considering sewing my own puppets for fun instead of paying those kind of prices. Amusing and entertaining as always - you never fail to make me smile and laugh. Thank you, and take care of you 🤍.
