Sony LinkBuds Review

A few weeks ago Sony got in touch to say that they could send me something over if I signed a non-disclosure agreement. I went along with it in the hope that they’d then tell me what the product was. However a couple of days later a parcel arrived containing their new LinkBuds in-ear bluetooth headphones.

If they’d told me what it was all about, I’d likely have turned them down as I’m just not a fan of earbud style headphones. However since I’d now got them I made a full review and here it is: https://youtu.be/GXMtaZTBMzw

Whether Sony will send me anything again after my assessment is anyones guess. They might prefer a giddy vacuous unboxing from a fresh faced teen rather than an honest opinion from a knackered old man with overly sensitive ears, but if there is a next time I’ll insist on them at least telling me the product category first.

The fact they didn’t also send over their new $3600 WM1ZM2 Walkman this week, gives me the impression that anything they migh send for review would be on the cheaper end of the scale.

Due to the fact I’ve been under an embargo on this product which lifted at 17:00 GMT today, I haven’t been able to put this video out early to Patrons. Delaying the release on YouTube wouldn’t be wise, as this will be out of the news cycle in 48hours. So my apologies on this one but you’ll be seeing this at pretty much the same time as everyone else. This is not going to be a regular occurrence.

In other news, I’ve got some unfortunate family things going on that I need to look after, so if I don’t respond to everything, it’s nothing personal…I’m doing the best I can.
