Upcoming pics, packages & general Patreon stuff

I know, the first post in a while and it's nothing but text - we'll change that in the course of the day, don't worry. I just thought I'd post an overall status update.

I'm wrapping up two pics that will be posted with variations before the end of the month (if you're following the updates in the discord server you've seen some pics already). There are also server-exclusive pics that are gonna find their way into the next package.

Speaking of the next package! I've been a bit lax with getting those out again, sorry bout that. What I'm gonna do however is prepare them retroactively, so that even if you happen to reduce your pledge or cancel your sub in the meantime, you'll get the content you pledged for.

With that info out of the way, I wanted to point out something in general when it comes to Patreon. As some of you may know I also work as the lead artist on the new BlueAxolotl game, Slice of Venture 3. 

It just so happens that the dev profile here on Patreon was suspended indefinitely, effectively cutting down the entire funding and jeopardizing the whole project. It's only thanks to fans and pledgers like you who support us artists and devs that BA was able to bounce back somewhat.

What's more, even now that the Patreon profile has been swiped clean and clearly adheres to all the rules Patreon has requested, they refuse to answer mails and just hope BA goes away quietly.

So, what does that have to do with our little circle here? This whole ordeal was just another stark reminder of some of Patreon's unsavory policies and actions. Seeing it develop first-hand reminded me how easily things can go sideways here, so I wanted to underline the importance of our Discord server for content, news and updates. At the same time, I want to mention alternative channels for pledging. It might be a good way of avoiding a surprising suspension, you never know.

Long story short: 

New pics and packages are coming; Patreon is once again proving how bad they treat some of the content creators, keep in mind to stick to the Discord server, and perhaps consider making the jump to a more welcoming alternative!
