I never played armored core, but this type of game is down the middle for me. Even if was not like anything FromSoft has put out in the last decade, I would still be extremely excited. That they might be including some elements of the souls games is just a cherry on top. I sort of imagine instead of stamina you have an energy core that has to recharge, dashes are probably akin to rolls, the energy shield is your sword/board stand-in. How they tweak ranged combat to fit into this intrigues me since the action 3rd person genre is dying for a new take on controls and overall gameplay flow. Besides, the love and care the goes into a FromSoft game has earned a certain level of goodwill and trust. Sekiro wasn't for everyone, but I loved it largely because it was a departure. Something different but familiar. I hope they are able to pull off that same feel. New, but as Vaati said, familiar to the studio's legion of the past decade.
