Greetings, adventurers, and welcome to the Hordelands!
In this first part of the theme we take out very first tentative steps on the steppe, as we stretch ourselves across the arid plains that homes the plainsmen!
For those who like their horizons clear of tree and water, there's nowhere more welcoming than the endless stretch of the sandseas. In this first set, we begin at the edges of the sandseas, where the more mercantile nomads of the horde can be met in caravans. Small pockets of them can be seen going into and out of the forbidding canyons and undulating desert of the plains, and they have the maps and stars that one needs to navigate these dusty seas!

In this first set, we've got a meeting knoll - an oasis in which the more mercantile Plainsmen meet for barter of words and mettle.

This map is set in two locations, so you can have it in two different biomes, and even comes with a plain yurt-less version of it so you can use it in a variety of situations. Within the clearing are the yurts of the travelling Plainsmen, small and personal and far from the hordes summoned by the Taiji in the inner deserts.





For those who want to enter the Plain of Horses through adventure and serendipity we have a map too! The fallen bell here marks once great roads that made entreaties into the plains. Gone though, are those days where the bell in clear tones marked the direction of gates. These half-buried gates are now the last markers in an otherwise unmarred landscape:
