2024-12-21 01:11:24 +0000 UTCI think Belaf's greatest desire in that moment as he was being "consumed" and transformed was exactly as he requested. He asked to be consumed in both body and spirit. That also meant he became something he wasn't, an ignoble and cold isectoid creature. She even took his eyes. He became something that was willing to do what he wouldn't when he was human, use another person (Mitty) for sustenance. He's one of my favorite characters for sure. Your analysis was great as always.
