Haruko Ichikawa intended for all of the gems to be portrayed with genderless pronouns (a bit more straightforward in Japanese) so the English equivalent is they/them. However I see you are using masculine pronouns for our dear Cinnabar and it is throwing me off a bit (not necessarily in a bad way). As a lesbian IRL I was super biased and I think I assigned female pronouns in my head to literally all the gems.
