News about the Assetto Corsa rally project, the first of its kind.
The map itself is playable, the vegetation is fully implemented and adjusted (Grass FX).
Passing beacons are also in place, so you can see the lap times for each competitor.
The CoDriver application in its new version (unique and only in my possession) works perfectly. It allows to record several timed stages on the same map.
I am currently working on the last part, the longest but most interesting, the implementation of objects and scenery related to the rally itself.
I think I'll have another month of work to do and then I'll publish here to have your help to try it all on an online server.
There is a big problem to solve, Assetto is not a rally game, so each driver will have to do the whole loop without going out in the scenery to get his time back up (3 stages on the 42 km loop). If, for example, a driver completes the first two stages without any problems, but in the third stage he goes out and gets stuck somewhere without being able to get back on the road, then his times for the first two stages will never be known. I may have a solution but it will not be true to reality, it is the teleportation of the competitor on the finish line if he goes off the road so that the times of the finished timed sections are known by the server admin (me).
