I wonder why they made that choice. I don't know enough about either series to make a guess, though.

2025-06-22 20:42:51 +0000 UTCI would give you a ring update but not much has changed since last episode because we knew the unicorn had RPM (the one she used in this episode) since last episode. The combination mecha has combined with the main mechas from RPM (shoulders), Wildforce (arm/hands (the mecha that helped in episode 12)) and Samurai (legs/feet).
