Pre-Draft Q&A Session!

I do definitely think that his maturity and intelligence played a role in the Giants liking him so much. He's a very coachable kid, and he won't make waves in the locker room if he's not the starter, and on some level I think that's very valuable to the Giants so that they can have a smooth transition from Eli. But at the same time, I feel like Dwayne Haskins is JUST as coachable and JUST as intelligent and JUST as good of a locker room presence...while still being way more naturally talented. I don't get it, man :(

Hey Brett. Giants fan here still trying to wrap my head around Daniel Jones pick. Like you, I'm pretty confused but, at the same time, I know Dave Gettleman knows a hell of a lot more than I do about football so I have to give him the benefit of the doubt. In addition to what you said in your draft recap video about the Manning family possibly endorsing Daniel Jones as the replacement, the only other thing I can think of to justify the pick is for character reasons (e.g. DJ had a better football mind, better leadership quality, more mature, etc.). How much of that do you think could have played a part in that decision making process? I'm imaging something like that Draft Day movie where no one showed up to Haskins birthday

I personally like their pure stats, but the whole concept of assigning a single numerical grade to a player is just odd to me. You can't boil down a sport as complex as football to a single number. The game is much more nuanced than that. And even worse, people treat those grades as gospel and use them as their arguments for EVERYTHING. It's insane.

Sorry if this is too late but I have another question. What do u think of pro football focus. Do you agree with there grades/ranking and would you recommend getting their PFF EDGE?
