Miriah and Freebie take flight (almost!)

Miriah has been so excited and has been an AMAZING student. We talk a little in this consultation about tail mount training (for telemetry, which is what we use as an extra insurance policy when free flying birds outdoors), as well as what to expect when traveling in the airport with a parrot.
She also has some special circumstances with Freebie that make it necessary to administer medication via syringe to him daily, so we talked about ways to make that a long term success.
The balance between an athletic bird who is in training for outdoor free flight and a pet parrot can be delicate, so we talk in the end of this session about reinforcing flight training and crate training for the field and having foraging take a back seat for a bit before the trip. It was an interesting consultation where we got to cover a lot of different topics, so I thought it would be worth sharing!
