Monet and Prim got something new...

We've decided to retire the Omlet cages and go big with this new flight cage for the tiny birds to enjoy the back porch in. It took some rearranging of things but I think it's a good fit.

Is there any way you could comment the link for this cage, please?

Now that we are down to just Rhythm and Jazz traveling. Maybe my two little conures. We are able to have more space. Its amazing how one + bird can change your whole set up. 🫨 my flock is now manageable thank God. Not sure how you rescue people do it I’ve learned so much in the past year . Thankfully I have Birdtricks ❤️

If our trailer had the space or I had less birds to travel with I’d have those! 🩷

I love those. We are definitely getting them for the bird wagon.

You could look into this cage from Prevue though: https://prevuepet.com/product/951/large-stainless-steel-bird-cage-3455

Yeah, we want to ensure it stays around 50 degrees for them and higher but our heaters keep having issues so until we figure that out… I don’t think we get enough sunlight for that to warm it up on its own and it’s not trapping the heat well enough either at the moment.

Yeah I need the divider to be able to utilize it for both Prim and Monet but don’t necessarily wanna mount anything to the divider in case I can take it out sometimes for one bird to use the whole thing 🩵

This is made for smaller birds so the opening of getting him in and out isn’t ideal nor is the bar strength.

I have been looking at this cage for months now thinking about it for my Amazon. He is 50 years old, arthritic and cataracts. Every once in a while, he will fall in his taller cage. I think I need to get him a shorter cage, but big from side to side. Do you think that would work for him?

I have that same flight cage for our conure Jellybean but in black. We took out the middle divider and he has both sides just to himself. We installed various stainless steel bowls around the cage instead of using the plastic bowls it came with and use little clips on the small windows to keep them closed. We also take out the bottom grates and allow him to forage on the bottom to utilize all the space. He is a little ground chicken and likes to rummage around foraging boxes at the bottom.

I ran wires through pve pipe. I lived in an area that drops down in cold season and we used clear plastic wrap to wrap the open screen so sun can come in but as long as the birds do not get air blown on them to take the body heat or get wet and for us it was snow. Most of our birds sit on their feet but Indian ringnecks don’t do that so we had only one bird get frost bit on one toe. They tend to weather down as it gradually gets colder. If you run any heat, if you loose electricity, because they are use to the heat, you will have to bring them in
