For being in the dog training business for 20y….. I used to do stunt dogs show all accross Canada and some part of the states. Definitely interested in your journey and

Geneviève Bénard

That’s exciting cause when I am ready to do free flight I was thinking about a grey as they are not a huge bird and the fact that you guys are planning for another just in case.

FayK

Random, but is it a CAG thing she can’t wear GPS or her specific? Love all your wisdom. Please double down on puppy updates 💛

KayLa Forret-Munoz

Thanks!

Ellen O'Callaghan

Yes to all the puppy updates! ❤️

Kimberly Carr

I agree puppies are adorable its so you dont give them away. We just got our puppy she is 6 months old and I think it’s the perfect age there’s still a pup, but they’re Trainable. I also have never been one for using crate training, which the breeder we got Roxy from uses crate training for potty training and also emergency situations. She recommended that I learn so we are working on it. Can’t wait to meet Navi.

She is so adorable. 🥰

African Greys can wear Telemetry but most don't tolerate it. A leg mount gets in the way of their landings, and putting it on their tail distracts them because it's so much longer than their tails and they're constantly looking behind them. If they wear a backpack then it can be attached to the back of the backpack but most won't tolerate wearing it. Here's some photo examples of the different ways: https://marshallradio.com/ww/mounting-methods-gallery/

She is stinking adorable! As a mom to a new puppy I HATE the puppy stage!🤣 We are still thinking of finding a trainer. They are cute and the cuddles🥰 but everything else I can totally do without!! But we love having a dog in our life and after the sudden death of our last dog I knew I had to go through it again. Congrats you guys! I know she is going to bring you so much joy.

I have birds, had dogs, which have since passed, and a cat. I've always trained my dogs myself, and I am with Dave on the "puppy in the crate," training. We've always had big dogs, A Borzoi, and a Husky, so yep, crate training for sure. They definitely need to know that your birds are not prey and they'll also be super protective of your flock. All the best with you new "child," and she'll be a great asset as your new family member. :) She's gorgeous!

I would LUV updates on the training! I absolutely did have to laugh out loud though when you mentioned lots of people have dogs with birds, and snakes oddly enough as well, because I have dogs, and a snake! You can have anything you like as long as you have the proper time, space and care for what you want, and I believe you guys do a TREMENDOUS job with all of it! I so love that you get to enjoy all of these different types of experiences with different types of animals just as I do! It is A LOT of work, but OHHHH SO SO rewarding! I look forward to everything you get to share with us and being on the journey with you! P.S. Tell Capri to stop growing so big, she's making me old!! LOL!!!!!!!! She looks so amazing and is so growing into her own! It is incredible to see! =)

I would love training updates too! Why can't African Greys wear telemetry? We used to have a vizsla who was wonderful! We didn't hunt with him but he was well trained. Once when we had a spring snow storm he heard a bird under the wet snow and he snuffled around till he got the bird in his mouth and brought him to me. The bird was a common redpoll, a small songbird. When I asked him to drop it ( I couldn't tell what he had, just that he was excited to show me) for a treat, he dropped the bird into my hand. The bird was completely fine except for being slimed;)

Yes yes yes !!

Lisa

Would love updates on the training!
