The Final Week Before We Move To Fanbox

Well, this is it, guys. As of September 5th, which is when I plan to release The House That Byleth Built audio, I won't be posting to Patreon any further. As I've been saying throughout, I'll be moving to Fanbox full-time by the end of the week.

It's been a rough month thinking about this, as it's been on my mind constantly, possibly not in a positive manner. After seeing little to no advancement from Patreon on any other NSFW creators or content, I was starting to wonder if it was a bad idea. That maybe I should keep it to just Fanbox and Patreon, and just post to them simultaneously. Or that I should just screw it all and just stick with Patreon anyway.

And then I thought...no. I have to commit to this. I said I was going to do it, and whether I lose a lot of support or not, I'm still going to do it.

I know things are quiet now, but between the adult content bannings, the constant TOS changes, the tax thing at the start of the summer, and even that lawsuit looming over the site's head...I need to move out now before something gets worse. Like I've said before, the place is bound to get hit with the same issues that Tumblr fell to, one way or another. It can't just be a move made at the zero hour. So yes, we're still moving over to Fanbox for good.

While I have a Subscribestar page set up, I honestly rather use Fanbox for the time being. Yes, it's closer to Patreon in function and stuff, but Fanbox allows for Paypal support. As the funds from the sites are what I use to pay my VAs, I find it easier to just use that instead of having to push money back and forth between my bank account and Paypal and have one or the other looking at me with suspicion all of a sudden.

When we move to Fanbox full-time, there are some new things I'm hoping to try out. Yes, early access to my stories will still be a thing. So long as we're at the right amount of funds, the audio projects will also still continue on. But the focus will be on growing the audio side of things, as that's really what I want to do right now.

As it's been said before, Patreon is, was, how I had been funding those projects. I want to be able to give VAs more work, and work with more VAs in the process. I want to be able to get better at it as well, as comments from the Royal Pain public release will show you. I'm aware of the flaws my editing has had in regards to sound, but I want to keep doing these so I can get better at that work.

I'm hoping these changes will work out, and I hope everyone here will continue to support me in the move. But even with Saturday being the last day, I still recommend doing the move over before the first of September, just so you aren't charged by both Patreon and Fanbox.

This note took a much more somber tone that I wanted it to, but it's likely because I can see how this will play out. But if you want more of these projects to come out, if you want me to do work with more VAs, then please join me on Fanbox. I guarantee I'll still give you the same effort and quality that you've been coming here for.

And I can't stress this enough; thank you. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for sticking this far with me. I've been happy to know that all of you and others have been willing to support this endeavor. And my thanks go out to Doujins.com for helping to promote the projects. I don't think we would be here if it weren't for their help. The VAs also deserve their thanks, as they've brought a lot of life to my scripts, and I appreciate what they've done.

Thank you guys. I hope to see you over on Fanbox.
