Adult Games Are Being Censored
Added 2025-07-24 12:39:31 +0000 UTCIt seems some activists have started pressuring MasterCard to censor adult game content. itch.io, as a precaution, ended up hiding games with adult content from searches (from what I've counted, there are only 49 games now, and apparently, none of them contain pornography).

Well, this place here has a history of giving in to pressure from credit card companies, so... 😅 I don't know how long the content here can last until this page disappears without a trace, so, without mentioning names, know that if that happens I might still be publishing on other more permissive places xD
I'm thinking about contacting Nutaku and expanding my horizons further beyond itch.io. What do you think?
I'm going to start releasing access to the public version of the game right here again (I had stopped doing this because I sometimes forgot to remove the cheat code lol). So, you can access it for free here on the platform. I'm also changing the LiL Tier to have access to NSFW content ^^

2025-07-26 19:02:39 +0000 UTCThere's now a site called https://loop-io.dev/ where you can list games from itch.io so they're still visible. Welcome to the City is already listed there. You can also like the games there. I immediately gave it my like. Everyone who reads this should also like the game so it's listed higher. As for the shops, Fakku has announced that they don't accept games that are still in development. But https://saikeystudios.com/ also accepts games that aren't finished yet; there's also a post about it on Twitter.

2025-07-25 20:46:01 +0000 UTCI've had a profile on Nutaku for a long time, and I have to say that the site is increasingly going down the wrong path for me, as the majority of the games are now created with AI. I find Kagura Games much better, and they're doing a good job of expanding their reach. However, both are storefronts where I've only seen finished games so far, so I fear they can't be compared to Itch.io. Perhaps they're open to it, though. Kagura Games posted a post on their Twitter account today addressing developers; it might be worth a look. Jastusa also commented on the matter on Twitter, saying that developers can contact them. I'm not aware of any other site like itch.io. But another developer introduced me to another site like Patreon, ganknow.com. It might be worth a look since it also offers several payment options, but unfortunately, VISA and MasterCard are among the ones that are accepted, but that's still better than subscribestar.adult, which only accepts VISA and MasterCard. And finally, there are boosty.to and ci-en.dlsite.com, but I can't say much about those. I certainly hope that this madness will stop somewhere and that we adults can buy whatever we want, as long as it doesn't violate any laws.
