Officially Announced!

The official press release form Dark Horse went out yesterday and we now have a release date! The new omnibus volumes will be available in softcover and hardback (limited) on November 5th and 6th!

It was fun seeing the articles poop up on review sites and Dark Horse's site!

Officially Announced!

@Eric Weigle: It is a little unclear, but as the title of the new edition suggests, it contains all the chapters from the original volumes 1 (Orientation) and 2 (Research). Or, to put it more directly, chapters 1 to 22.

William Ansley

Which chapters will this include? It's a little unclear (around 20-something?)

Eric Weigle

I hope Tom doesn't mind me stepping in, but as he got a new publisher, it's highly likely that that set of books are at a standstill and we'll have to wait for Dark Horse to catch up/republish everything first. I also give my mother the books to read, and she's been asking after volume 9, too. And, same as you, trying to entice her with the content on the website doesn't work. XD

D. Alfonso

Nice cover, will definitely pick this up along with my original hardcovers that I am missing.

Andrew L. Budny

Good to see! My question, though, has to do with Volume 9. My 89-year-old father just finished his third time through the first eight volumes and was wondering if there's been any word on when the cliffhanger'll get resolved. I've offered to set him up at my laptop so he can read the pages from the website, but he'll have nothing to do with computers...

Michael H. Payne

Will this be available in the UK as well?

Maksim Solomcuk

Indeed, if I had been drinking tea at the time, I would've spit it out.

Nulgar

Pre-ordered.

Hinch55

THAT NEIL GAIMAN QUOTE THOUGH! Congrats, Tom!

Liz B-M

HELL YES, congrats!!! I need a hardcover omnibus to put with my set, hahahaha

D. Alfonso

Thank you so much!!!!

Dan

The hardcover pre-order link is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/150674205X/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Christopher Currie

I was wondering that too - but when I followed the links to the paperback (at least on Amazon/B&N) and clicked on Tom's name/author page, I saw listings for the hardcovers too :O Not sure if that's "official" or not though!

Do we have any information on the distribution of the hard covers? I only see pre-orders for the soft covers.

Dan

Yesss I can't wait! The casual observer of my bookshelves may think it unnecessary to already have books 1 and 2 in paperback and hardcover, and then to preorder both the paperback and the hardcover (if I can swing it/order in time), but I'm guessing I speak for all of Gunnerkrigg Court when I say: it's absolutely worth all additional purchases :D

Renee - EnsembleofWolves

I don’t know, I’ve never been too happy when articles poop up anywhere… πŸ˜‰ Happy for you, Tom! Is the revised artwork the main difference between these and the old Archaia hardbacks?
