I don't fear fans, but I dislike the feeling of the air moving against me. Even in my car on a very hot day, I don't like the air conditioner blowing on me.

Heh, my mother is one of those who believes that you will get sick if you run the fan overnight.

Air fans are indeed the best. I felt as though I ought to like this post more than once, but alas, I could not... XD

The Korean government and media perpetuate the silly thing. Like 2006 govt report that said 20 people had died of fan death in the previous 3 years. Because old people were found dead in rooms with fans. AHA.

In Peru they think it'll give you a cold because it's "artificial air." There may be something to it due to throat temperature and being used to warm climates, but for me it just meant that my roommates didn't mind if I kept the fan all to myself!

Korean "fan death" superstition. Makes zero sense to me, either, but there you go.

I've left plenty of fans on, haven't been killed yet. Maimed, mauled and chilled, sure, but not killed.
