2024-07-12 04:31:21 +0000 UTCBecause, reasons... Okay, really here are the reasons: We were voting for names and for professional names at the same time but separately. I had no idea which sets would be chosen for either and to be honest, it never occurred to me that there are two ways the two sets of names could be applied. The other reason is one of practicality. There were 8 sets of 'professional' names and 16 sets of 'given' names AND two ways that professional and given names can be matched to the individual characters. In order to vote on all of that at once *and* decide who is which, I would have had to list them like; "Kai (Maverick) and Dax (Renegade", "Kai (Renegade) and Dax (Maverick)", etc. That would be 16 * 8 * 2 = 256 potential combinations. There is a limit on how many choices I can have in one poll here on Patreon, it's 25, I believe. So, I would had to have conducted 11 polls at once in order to get every possible permutation accounted for!
