Significant progress on structural layout, geographical detail, and interior sectioning with -pardon my language- a shitload of work to be done on basically everything.
Though the build might take the image of a Roman Forum, I'd much rather consider it as a personal Palace. I'm still trying to figure out where I'm going to build the residence aside from the fact that the Palace itself will act as a place of refuge, Implying that it will be a place of exploration while you make a living from your own domicile, which I'm yet to build.
The geography alone will take a massive amount of patience to shape according to my preference, which will of course include painstaking chipping and removal of sharp features that WorldEdit simply does not alleviate on a smaller scale. I don't want the scale to overwhelm you, nor for the build to suffer therefrom. Which means I need to carefully keep proportions in check while adding new elements and overall detail.
My palette selection is still in question, figuring it out while building will eventually ring a bell, so at present I'm not too bothered. Although the Romans are known for adding their signature color selection to their builds, their base stone is still as beautiful as ever (Pantheon). Scattering too much colors can divert attention away from what I'm trying to display, so my choice will have to very specific and subtle.
In terms of time, the completion of this build can take a while even with Olympics level patience, vision, creativity, and of course hard work. So bear with me on this one if you don't mind, I'm doing this, as always, without a team of builders.
Once again, thank you for blessing me with your Patronage. As long as I'm around, I'll produce builds to the best of my ability, while improving my craft in the process. (^_^)7
Loadshedding:
South Africa is still economically buckled, promoting power outages and an enraged demographic implicated by weak political rule. This simply means that my building time is to some extent hampered, but still managed to the best of my ability. We're not really under totalitarian rule, nor shackled by tyrants, but the impact is definitely evident. Either way, I'm still alive and healthy, that alone is a blessing that deserves appreciation, which I am.
Anyway, I'll keep your guys updated on the build. Hope you have an awesome day! :]
Update III:
- Most aspects of the build (overall) is starting to express visual continuity. Most interiors have at the very least been sectioned/compartmentalizes with placeholders, this will make it easier for me to identify where I'm going with each compartment.
- Intricate detailing is starting to become more prominent, defining certain features while complimenting others. Interiors and overall detailing are usually the factors that can take a ton of time and vision to pull off without making the build look like a confusing mess. Although Conquest offers a reasonable block variation to mend this, adding too much detail on a given area can easily detract from what you're try to emphasize, thus the words "visual continuity".
- It should also be noted that I don't want to spoil the build by displaying too much visual progress for you to determine as an outcome. Most things in life are somewhat bland and meaningless if there is no element of surprise. I'll of course still keep you updated on the process with the exclusion of screenshots.
Hope you guys are still doing well! I'll be around whenever you need help on...well...basically anything lol. ;]
Update IV:
- Most interiors are now meticulously crafted, while others are still reconsidered and under construction.
- External detailing are now becoming more apparent and expansive.
- New features and additions are actively being added or removed while in the state of weakness (healing crisis) from my current long water and fruit fast.
- Statistical estimate is now being afforded, thus-
Construction Progress:
Exterior = 100%
Interior = 100%
Terraforming = 100%
Detailing = 100%
Appreciation = 369%
Update V:
- The build has finally been painstakingly connected to a survival world via an ocean route without making it look awkward or out of place. All interiors are pretty much done, and structural tweaks appears to be a done deal.
- Now I have to find a 360 panoramic, add some final touches, remove or replace some elements that I don't find appealing, and potentially add more bulk to the build wherever I can.
- Thank you for sticking around, I appreciate your patience. Whatever you need, I'll be around to help you wherever I can. :] Hope you guys have an awesome day, much blessings!
