Patron Poll 2024 Edition

Hey Patrons!

Told you we'd be talking again real soon! :D

For the rest of the month I'll be running a poll for you all to decide on one of the games I'll work on this year! Whichever option gets the most votes, I'll commit some of my time to that game, and you'll all get digital copies as per usual, as well as early access to first drafts, previews of layout, etc.

Now lets talk a bit about these choices:

BIG DAMN HEROES: A heroic action fantasy game. Combine a familiar character class with a tragic background and embark on world saving adventures with your party. This is my attempt at a "typical" fantasy RPG full of big combat set pieces and intimate character beats.

This is currently in the early stages of development. I've got some working character classes and backgrounds and some rough rules for combat and quest progression. If you have a chess board and some minis, or just a way to make an 8x8 grid, you'll have no problems playing it.

CARD DRIVES: A single-player cyberpunk card game that combines the rules of poker with cards from other popular trading card games. You play as a hacker trying to break into different networks before time runs out or you are overwhelmed by lethal Intrusion Countermeasures Electronics (ICE). Play poker hands to bypass encounters and draw cards, or use cards from other games for wild game-breaking effects.

This one I've pretty much finished developing. I need to iron out some of the rules for making custom card combinations, and provide some prewritten missions. Then it is off to layout, and then basically done.

KASSANDRA KING: DEVIL'S DICE: Another single player game, this one about being an unpleasant occult detective trying to solve the mystery of why she made a deal with the devil. It plays out over the course of a dozen or so scenes, which can play out differently depending on your choices.

This one has gone through a lot of different iterations over the years, and honestly I'm just trying to finish it as this point. I have an initial rough draft that I'm happy with, but another almost finished version I could polish and finish much sooner. In any case, if this wins something good will come of it.

And that's it! The poll will run until June 30th at which point I'll announce the winner and maybe share what I have made for that game so far.
