New Games, New Old Games, New Supplment

Hey folks,

Well I've been busy and a tad neglectful of updates so I wanted to show you what I've finished lately.

HAXEN

It's been about 4 months since my last Kickstarter so you know what that means, TIME FOR ANOTHER ONE. Haxen is going to be a solo hex-crawl game through a dead science fantasy wasteland. I was planning on not doing this until February so it could be part of ZineQuest, and as a result it's coming in pretty hot. I dunno. I had a number of unplanned expenses these last few months (like getting COVID for a week) and so I need to pay the bills but trying to get this out the door ASAP is kinda killing my creative spirit right now. You can see the preview image above. Took me a lot of tries but I'm happy with it. 

With this and KILLOTINE I guess I've entered into my CMYK colour palette phase. It's easier to wrap my head around doing visual art with some constraints, so it's been fun to play around with that. 

A TORCH IN THE DARK v2

Finished the new version of A Torch in the Dark. It's beautiful and I'm very happy with both the digital PDF and the print run that the Kickstarter supported. All backers get should have access to the new version, I think? All the files have been updated on the itch page. Not sure if those download keys are one time use.

BIG SHINY SCORES VOLUME 1 - NULL RAVERS AND RAGERS

I was lucky enough to do a bit of writing and proofreading for Slugblaster, a TTRPG about being teens and exploring other dimensions for fame and style. It came out earlier this year, it's beautiful and funny and I didn't want my time with it to be over. So I made a supplement as part of a game jam. I had a lot of fun with this, definitely outside my normal work.

You voted for it so you're gonna get it. Not sure if I'll make the end of year deadline now that I have to do another Kickstarter sooner than expected, but it's coming along. Maybe a very basic ashcan version before the year is up? 

Sad that we dipped below the milestone level where we can do this again, but happy for your continued support. Thanks a bunch.
