[Big update for reward distribution] Replacing MEGA, creating my own website!

The website development is going great, but I just haven't touched it in a couple weeks because I've been so busy with commissions and work 😭 But otherwise there aren't any actual snags!

The Patreon authentication works really smoothly and the frontend is very simple and loads fast. My close friend of 15 years is a veteran senior engineer in the web industry and has been mentoring me so I'm fairly proud of the code. :)

I have to go through the big process of uploading all my animations into cloud hosting, which is a lot of files and then I have to properly tag them and stuff so the right patron tiers will get access to the right files.

It's still on the horizon! At minimum, I will definitely want to and have to finish it before my next big Patreon animation, because I don't want to deal with posting and refreshing MEGA links any longer.

I've been very annoyed at the reports that links aren't working, because it's either one of two things:

• The link expired, which means it's my fault because I lost track of the expiration date

• The patron is using a mobile app, and didn't read the very obvious instruction in all-caps right next to the link that it won't refresh automatically on the mobile app and you have to force-close it to clear the cache

So, rather than continue this problem and continue the pain on either side, I'm working on developing my own website which should be ready in a month.

It will be super simple; you just go directly to the site, and it will ask you to allow linking your Patreon.

Once you do, you'll be able to watch all the videos directly, and it will show you the download options for your tier (framerate, resolution, etc.)

This will also solve the problem that it's tedious for Awoken ($9) members to get 1080p versions because they have to use the other link.

No more link expiries, no more MEGA archives, etc. etc. Just a simple video watching site! I have high hopes for this. :3
