Now that I am almost done with Happy Sugar Life, I can't help but be reminded of another show.

I just wonder how Happy Sugar Life would go onto become one of the more popular animes of its year (and still well liked today) while the other is regarded in the same way Cuties is?
But if I had to take a guess, my gut feeling says that it's because Happy Sugar Life is a psychological horror/thriller that takes its subject matters very seriously while Kodomo no Jikan is a comedy romance that uses a very f!cked up situation as it main basis.
