A few of you may have heard through the grapevine throughout April about some of our most recent technical progress. This newsletter pulls a couple of our biggest efforts this month into context, and discusses them in better detail.

The first article is a proper update on the status of our ongoing head anatomy video series. We finished the script for the analysis of tissue biology in the head, and how we plan on working with that tissue to get it to do what we want. This turned into 2 videos, because it was way too much for 1 video. It's like, about 2 solid hours of script! We spend some time in this article describing how we'll work with nerves and the eye's iris.

The second article ties a bow on a chapter we put out earlier in April in our Integument Review project. We've featured various aspects of feathers in recent newsletters. So, here, we only briefly outline the overall topics and themes in the chapter, but we then add some practical comments about the sorts of decisions we can make based on the knowledge we assembled.

Also, this concludes my first full month of work for the FFF! It is so awesome being able to help push these things along at a dramatically faster pace. Hopefully before the end of the year, we can be wrapping up these foundational knowledge gathering and analysis projects and get on with testing some of our ideas!
