Dear Patreon Supporters,

As we are at the close of 2024 and entering a new year, we have some exceptional news we want to share with you.

Key Quill - you may remember him from a memorial in our October 2023 newsletter - left our organization a gift. We received the gift from his estate, coming to just over $210,000. Our article goes into more about him as a person as well as his wishes. We also cover some details about what looks possible for our organization on an earlier time scale than we initially expected.

The second article covers changes in our Board of Directors. The changes were announced earlier in December, but this article covers more details, and has commentary from hyper herself about what she looks forward to as she joins the board.

The final article is another Volunteer Spotlight - this one for Bleddyn, team lead of the tail neuroprosthetic project! This interview, hosted by SvarOS, has some interesting insights from a PhD-holding engineer about the philosophy and practice of science and engineering.
