The first article is about someone who went by Key Quill. He was deeply inspired by our organization's work. He...passed away while still in college due to cancer. But he's made a big impact on our team, making us realize just how important our work is for folks. I am thankful to Key's mom, Kim, for inviting me to attend his memorial and to write about it.
Two artists in our community - MonstrousLupus and Dragonfeathers - contributed the art in the article. And yes, Kim loved it!!
The second article is happier. As you all know, we promoted @hyper the bunny to Community Director earlier this month, and as she's settling into her new leadership position, she's been drawing up more plans, finding more people to help her team, and improving how we do things for everyone in the community here.
These are both very big deals for us. And they've been...emotional for me in different ways. Sadness and being touched on one paw; pride in someone's growth and excitement for the future, on the other paw.
