The Glory | Episode 1 Reaction

All I will say is you have to think about ALL the people that hurt her or turned a blind eye to her abuse in high school. They are on that wall. They showed flashes of everyone on the wall every time they showed the investigation wall. Also, supposedly, this story is based on real-life events. I remember, during my first time watching this series, reading news articles about someone actually trying to carry out a similar plan to this story, but at the time, his endgame was killing everyone in his class at a high school reunion. Fortunately, he was stopped before his plan to come to fruition. Unfortunately, bullying and abuse in high school seem to happen a lot. I guess that's why it's shown in so many high school Kdramas...well, high school dramas in general.

Yeah that young actress killed the role. We’ll definitely be locked and focused because I feel like every little detail in a show like this is going to matter 😅

This show is amazing! I;m glad you guys are getting into kdramas and decided to watch The Glory. Episode 1 is a hard watch no matter how many times I watch it, the actor who played the younger version of the main character really does an amazing job with her acting. Thankfully the other episodes arent AS dark (still pretty dark lol but not as much as episode 1). You guys are on the right track with some of your theories lol that's all I will say so I won;t spoil it, but definitely gotta pay close attention so certain details, because the storytelling does go back to the past and present alot during the show.

Yes that was her home the bullies found out where she lived broke in and waited for her. That's why when she heard the voices she was backing up to get away but the other bully saw her. And the guardian that picked her up is her home room teacher not an actual guardian. If your parent or family are away the police contact the school cause the next adult close to them in charge would be their teacher.

The show puts a lot of information in the episode or two to set things up. One of the main things is to be able to identify the bullies-because the "teen" actors look a lot different from their grown up versions. There are actually 5 bullies--3 girls and 2 boys. It leads to a lot less confusion initially if you match them by their dreams/goals-all information shown or discussed in first episode. Girls Yeon-Jin---rich, main bully, has daughter, weathergirl Sa-ra--rich, artist, father is preacher Hye-jeong-middle class, wants to be stewardess, with gym coach Boys Jae-Joon -rich, plays basketball, will inherit a golf course, kept taking eyedrops Myeong-oh--poor , has tattoos, kissed Dong-eun without premission The overall story is very compelling and really will take you on a rollercoaster ride. Looking forward to your Glory journey.
