On our third episode of Game Tales, I sat down with Magnús again, and this time we were joined by Hjalti to talk about that time I ran Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus. Or as I called it Rise & Descent, because Magnús's character started his adventure in hell. Because he was playing an adventurer who died in another campaign.
I steal from all kinds of campaign settings and adventure modules to create a world for my players, the way I honestly believe D&D is meant to be played. And this adventure was no exception. It was awesome fun, even if talking about it feels like me describing my D&D fan-fic. But that's the whole point!!
Some production notes:
This episode is on the long side, but I promise it's because there's so much more to talk about than with Curse of Strahd or Waterdeep.
We're still working out the audio kinks, I think it's better than before, but it's not perfect.
Ideally we'd like to get a pair of new microphones specifically for this recording set-up, but we'll see if we can afford that in time for the next episode.
Oh god did we go on many tangents. We'll see if that's alright.
We're still learning and continue to improve! <3
Next episode we talk about a campaign I made up myself that reintroduced Blackguard to my players after years away. A campaign that's very much the foundation of the upcoming zine, the Broadsheet!
That episode will go live on Youtube a few weeks after you folks get access to it!
