I'm in agreement. SOMETIMES it's done well, but a lot of the time it's just a lot contractionless 'Yes Brother, honour the chapter brother'. I really dislike the tiktokkers currently attempting to act it out like it's an ultra-serious action movie. It just never sounds as good in real life!

2024-07-15 10:05:22 +0000 UTCJust an in general question. What do you make of the dialogue across heresy and 40k books? Particularly the Space Marine dialogue, brother. Personally, sometimes it's too much for me. And since tiktokkers and you-tubers have started making shorts and reels with it, it's sounding like gratingly vaccous tripe. But your opinion is more educated and better than mine, please enlighten me. I am autistic so I have certainly missed something others are picking up on.

2024-07-05 17:39:31 +0000 UTCThe Dark Angels and the Thousand Sons seem like an good example of the dichotomy between legions that would have no point after the crusade is finished and legions that have non martial things going on. What’s your thoughts on The Emperor’s intentions for the astartes post crusade? Also what cool psychic powers would you like to have that would make the Thousand Sons pick you for an apprenticeship?

2024-07-05 16:43:14 +0000 UTCDid Magnus do the wrong thing for the right reasons, or the right thing for the wrong reason?

2024-07-05 15:20:33 +0000 UTCP.S. my name is pronounced Wilkinson's Catalyst Tris-triphenyl rhodium chloride. Chlorotris (triphenylphosphine) rhodium (I) if you're nasty.

2024-07-05 15:11:23 +0000 UTCWhy did the emperor, create Magnus with a thirst for knowledge, then tell him he can't know about something? Seems like a bit of a dick move, right?! 😂

2024-07-05 15:08:26 +0000 UTCGiving a curious person a locked door and not telling them why they shouldn't open it can only have one result. Magnus was a researcher and most of research is finding a way around paths that were once closed off to you.

2024-07-05 14:33:57 +0000 UTCDid this book significantly change the fan perception of Magnus and did the mirror novel change the perception of this one?

2024-07-05 14:18:23 +0000 UTCWhat do you guys think the real point of the trial was? I feel like the emperor knew what his decision was already. To me it looked quite targeted like he almost wanted to humiliate Magnus in a similar way to Lorgar.

2024-07-05 12:41:59 +0000 UTCLove to get your opinions on what's the balance of fault (in destroying the webway project) between Magnus' fault for doing literally the thing he was told not to do, and Emps' fault for not explaining the true dangers of the warp (or even just what his plans on Terra are) to his "trusted" sons? Another classic Shakespearean tragedy from the Heresy series I think!
