Brutal Kunnin could be a nice pallet cleanser, very fun book and a very ORK perspective.

Are you going to do a vid reviewing the Cain book? Don't think I saw that one if you've already done it.
Otherwise I think Horus Heresy would be great. Been making my way through them for the past year but only reading those that you scored a 3 or above in one of your vids!

Ooo - I havn't read this either. No wonder the Bequin books are a bit baffling.

For the next books, I would suggest: The Infinite and The Divine. Also the first Ciaphas Caine omnibus is so fun

I really liked Valentin Drusher, his stories and story arc, but as a 'magos biologis' myself (or at least the 2k Terra equivalent), the suggestion that someone could complete a 'taxonomy' of a planet within 7 years is the most unbelievable thing I've read in a 40K novel!
I read the books in chronological (rather than publication) order, so there was more dramatic irony to the death of Eisenhorn's Interrogator at the start of Pariah (which I guess no one knew when Pariah was first published, and Beta didn't know of course). This isn't necessarily a good thing as it takes you out of the shoes of Beta. It does make me wonder how much of the story for The Magos Dan had worked out before Pariah was published - it could be that Dan fully forms every character in advance so he can write prequels for them at a later date!

Mira is thinking of the Apple tv show Severance 9 minutes in. It's good!

I'm torn, on one hand I want to watch the video, on the other hand I haven't read the book yet...

Valentin Drusher is the most pathetic little guy in the whole 40k universe and I love him for it
