This takes place a few days after the end of Chapter 22, where Jun and Malcolm have tracked down where the dastardly Bounty Hunters took Kohta.
Trying a few new things out in this special chapter, what do you guys think?

Hehe, yeh you've hit the nail on the head there, these guys are ultimately disposable. Unfortunately, or fortunately for them, they won't be facing Jun and Malcolm if they manage to break into this place, those guys are long gone, Kohta has been turned in for the prize money, and is being held in the cities prison, they're going to have to face actual Imperial soldiers now, who are a bit better trained than the hired help :(

2017-12-15 14:33:42 +0000 UTCahh, I see. Basically, they're bounty hunters (particularly if anything goes wrong, they can be dropped like hot potatoes), only with access to imperial walls and imperial jails. very very cool.

2017-12-15 02:17:21 +0000 UTCWell I've been thinking about it and they do actually fit the requirements for being Bounty Hunters. Baoshu is on the very edge of Imperial controlled territory, as such they are not able to bring to bear as much of their military and judicial resources as they would otherwise. So in effect you're right, in this area the bounty hunters are local citizens (sometimes criminals) who carry out the orders of the Imperials in return for cash rewards. Bounty hunter is probably the most apt term for the setting, though Private Security might be another word for it :P

2017-12-15 01:49:12 +0000 UTCI think its very impressive. but now am wondering if those bounty hunters truly are bounty hunters, or they are a mere piece of an imperial spear. (maybe not the proverbial tip of the spear, granted)
