I’m so pleased and excited to kick off 2022 as the subject of a new art series from prolific contemporary artist Sean Go.
He has this to say about the series:
Straightforward symbolism drawing on surrealism by Dali, pop art collages by Robert Rauschenberg, and pin-up style photography by Mickalene Thomas.
"Celestial Fruit" in Green & Blue
Fruits are considered to be symbols of desire in fine art, especially apples - and this can be interpreted as either joyous child-like delight or sin - depending on the viewer and his/her beliefs. There is also a celestial and other worldly quality about beauty which is timeless and transcends time and space.
"Sugar Sweet Like Candy"
Sugar Sweet like candy (the candy machine) tries to communicate the idea that there are many gumballs and candies and treats out there, but only one is the grand prize.
"Garden of Eden"
Garden of Eden is inspired by Swans reflecting elephants and Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. It is a trippy piece of art and has elements like flying candy and other surreal animals like rainbow zebras and giraffes.
Whether based on the anticipated growth of my brand or the inevitable increase in Sean Go’s art value, a piece like this is a fine art investment that is sure to appreciate in the future (while providing thoughtful aesthetics in the present.)
Signed and framed prints are available now in various sizes for US buyers only. Serious inquiries only please. More widely affordable art merch will be available in the future.
