Finally had time to watch it and loved your reaction. Now, I’m feeling nostalgic for some early to mid 80s Prince. I might have to make some requests from this era. 💜💜💜

Definitely enjoyed. Was shocked at some scenes for sure, but I love the realness with which they told this story. Not shying away from some of the problematic attitudes and behaviors. That's good to know though that its a semi doc. Thank you for this request my friend :)

Shocking? Really? Um ok. Shocking is what i am feeling to your reaction. lol but its best not to over think things and follow along . This is what I love about people born in the 80s,/ and 90s, they didn't sugar coat things , and can face real life situations and not be so soft or afended about real life situations right ?, I mean if you cant deal with real life situations on screen , how do you handle real life situations in real life? The movie totally showed that love learns, love feels , love heals and love wins .,THANK YOU ! For finaly reacting to this movie , I know there were both challenges on either side but I hope you enjoyed it , as far as the plot the attempted suicide of his dad changed the way the father treated his wife and Prince. It also changed Prince from abusing Appolonia or anyone in the movie. Remember, it's a movie, not a true story—semi doc of his music life but not a true story . So hope you enjoyed it also Prince wrote the songs for movie as the movie was filming. Rolling Stone named it the Best Rock and Roll movie of all Time and rightfully so.

LOVE this movie. 🍿 🎥 A broody musician from an abusive dysfunctional family navigates making it in the local band scene and figuring out how to deal with the interpersonal relationships of those in his life. I think for everyone except Patricia (aka Apollonia) NOT being actors that everyone did a GREAT job with their characters. I think P had the most complex character and I felt he came across authentic. I know the scene at the Piano with The Kidd and his father was a real conversation that P had with his own father. If interested, the making of Purple Rain is worth watching. I believe it’s available on the PurpleRainTube You Tube channel.
