π€π€π€ Interesting. I guess she could but maybe she was trying to prove to her dad she was really in it by doing that. Plus Severance for the wealthy means something completely different than for the average employee.

Thatβs a really good theoryβ¦ or they could have just wiped his entire mind? There was an option for that on the computer when they used the OCT

oo I like the theory that Irving used to do something else... that COULD be possible, if the different floors have different severed settings or something maybe the sub basement can sever you a different way or something so there's a whole other "him" that once worked elsewhere.

Thinking back, I wonder why Helena bothered actually having the procedure done at all-- she oculd have just faked it since it was just a gesture for political influence and not a genuine attempt to prove it was a wonderful thing, she could have easily faked being severed and done the same thing.

Yeah thatβs definitely what it felt like. Like they were trying to gain woke points for something so insulting

Hmm, so I wonder if Natalie's painting was a black female version of Mr. Eagan, like Mr. Milchick. I also found it interesting how Natalie points out in episode 3 that she received a painting. To me that kind of emphasis how none of the white people like Ms. Cobel received a painting in her image, and it feels like microaggression towards the two black characters that are of high positions. To me it says that we (I'm a woman of color too) no matter how much success we have or the position they will still see us as different as less than as just the black one. It feels like we're nothing beyond our skin color sometimes, and have no individuality to some people.
